New Asian Narratives

About

Contemporary design from Asia, on its own terms.

EMERGE – New Asian Narratives is a group exhibition presented at Design Miami 2026, organised by Singapore-based designer Nathan Yong and supported by the DesignSingapore Council and Enterprise Singapore. Curated by Maria Cristina Didero, the presentation brings together eleven designers and studios from across Southeast Asia - Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia - each presenting new, limited-edition work conceived specifically for the exhibition.

EMERGE - New Asian Narratives proposes a parallel grammar for contemporary design - formally inventive, materially precise, and culturally specific.
